Luna Umbra wines are the result of a passion blossomed from love.  Seriously.  Mr. John Nelson, our modest mastermind, received a small wine-making kit for Christmas from his whimsical wife, Julie.  Though his career has always been in engineering, he has always had great interest in the aromatic art of wine-making.  From garage experiments with frozen Welch's to crop chemistry classes with experts, Mr. John has grown in practice and knowledge to become the skilled silhouette casting his own shadow on our winsome wines.
